Action Game - Play to Learn

I played some action games today and it gave me a few ideas for my own action game. I want to have a goal that a played has to get to and objects and obstacles that are in the way. I also want a countdown timer and death counter. I'm not sure what my topic is yet but I want these ingredients in the game.
